Wet Cyanotypes, What!

Yes it really is a thing! There is the standard make a cyanotype by painting the two part mix onto paper and waiting for it to dry before you expose it to the sun or another UV source. I'm lucky I have an exposure box so if the sun isn't out or if it's raining, I'm ok. There is another more creative way to make an image by placing bits and pieces directly onto the wet chemical painted paper! When I mean bits and pieces, it includes salt, spices, herbs and anything you wish to experiment with. I also spray with a tiny bit of vinegar. All of these add to the chemical reaction of the cyanotype solution and interesting things happen when you expose them. Then wait at least 24 hours before developing which I know is a challenge but it is worth it!
